The Energetic Effect of Thoughts ... and how we can discover the Influence of Thoughts for Ourselves
What evidence is there that thoughts are of supreme importance? I refer back to the last argument mentioned on the first page: through our thoughts, we express our will! Our entire life is the result of all our past decisions and the consequences that resulted from them!
If we further consider that not even the smallest word or movement is possible without the corresponding preceding thought, we can conclude that thoughts play a central role in everything that has to do with our self-expression.
If we reverse the direction by considering what we take in, the importance is by no means less: impressions that reach us stimulate us to form the corresponding thoughts. Both images and words play a decisive role in the forming of the corresponding concept in us. If these are of high quality, constructive and true, this broadens our horizons and provides us with valuable, versatile education. If, on the contrary, they are inferior, destructive and untrue, our horizons narrow, leading to narrow-minded and one-sided views, and even to contempt for humanity, brutality and fanaticism.
We can easily observe this for ourselves! If our thoughts revolve around a specific topic, whether constructive or destructive, we quickly notice how the intensity of this topic increases enormously. In a positive sense, when we approach things with an open mind, we often find solutions to problems that surprise us. In a destructive sense, especially when our inner tendencies and weaknesses are touched, these torment us after only a short time to such an extent that we can notice how strongly our free will is restricted by them. In more pronounced forms, our weaknesses then drown out our freedom of choice and make our actions predictable. In extreme cases, however, when a person has allowed the energy of their cultivated thoughts to become overpowering, they literally become a puppet of these energetic influences and are then truly unpredictable.
Thoughts and Crimes
How Terror, Rampages, and Hate Crimes arise
A current phenomenon frightens an increasing number of people: terror, rampages, and other acts of madness are increasing at such a rapid pace that there is no time to take a breath and process what is happening. Almost all of humanity stands puzzled, unable to explain the cause. But would most people even accept a conclusive explanation?
It can be given without any difficulty, but it requires us to broaden our view and recognize the effectiveness of Cosmic Laws, especially the Law of Reciprocal Action, which we can't see but can feel, or at least accept it as a working hypothesis. The reason for this is as follows:
Without any intervention on our part, the self-acting energy that exists in the Laws of Creation is currently being intensified. As a result, characteristics within us that we have previously been able to keep dormant or hide from the outside world are pushing ever more vehemently to come to the surface and into our consciousness, both for better and for worse! This is a phenomenon that is striking and easy to observe for anyone who is paying attention - everywhere on Earth!
Bad character traits mean that the energy within us cannot flow harmoniously, but instead builds up! In the short or medium term, however, every energy blockage has exactly the same effect as an increase in pressure in a steam boiler: if it becomes too strong, it explodes.
The same thing happens to a person with a problematic energy blockage: they become fanatical, then lose control until they finally run amok or, for example, blow themselves up in a terrorist attack, taking their fellow human beings with them. A boundless hatred is directed against everything, ultimately against life itself, and wants to destroy it – causing as much damage as possible in the process!
The type of thoughts plays a decisive role in all of this, because they are highly effective in terms of energy!
How does the power of thought work? If we can gradually come to terms with the idea that there is a more subtle world that is invisible to us, it is not difficult to conclude that thoughts in this more subtle form of materiality create energetic forms and, in accordance with the Law, sort themselves according to similarities: constructive thoughts with constructive thoughts, harmful thoughts with harmful thoughts, for example, love with love and hate with hate, envy with envy.
These thought-forms are, in a certain sense, alive, charged with energy, and remain connected to the originator of the thought as long as the latter has an inner connection to the quality of that thought. A thought of envy therefore remains connected to the person concerned as long as that person has an envious attitude.
At the same time, this thought goes on a journey in the world beyond and also connects with its similarity.
Now let us imagine that toxic thoughts are partly cultivated by billions of people. It is not difficult to see that this creates giant Centers of Thoughts formed by these people. What is much worse, however, is that these enormous energies also flow back to all people with the same character trait, creating an energy field that is extremely harmful. All envious people therefore actually live in an atmospheric “soup” of these envious thoughts, which constantly influence them and greatly amplify their own thoughts!
Another very concrete example: The most visited topic on the original German version of this website is suicide! This means that there are probably many, many millions of people in German-speaking countries alone who are preoccupied with thoughts of this kind. From this we can conclude that an unimaginably large energetic Center of suicidal Thoughts arises in the subtle material world. This contributes to more and more people approaching this topic in their thoughts and the inhibition threshold for suicide constantly decreasing, thus increasing the number of suicides.
Nevertheless, the widespread prevalence of suicidal thoughts does not change the enormous damage that every suicidal person causes to themselves and their loved ones. Breaking out of this vicious circle can therefore only be achieved through knowledge of the connections regarding the effectiveness of thoughts, which is described here. -
But let's go further:
As already described above, words and images play the most important role in the formation of concepts in humans! For the sake of completeness, it is therefore essential to take a close look at the influence of the media.
The Internet has brought about a decisive change in the media landscape, because there we ourselves determine the selection!
If we now assume, like the majority of people, that what we see and read there has no influence on us at all, we open the inner floodgates in the delusion that it has no consequences whatsoever. However, this is not the way it is, and if we are really honest with ourselves, we cannot deny the effect of inflammatory articles and videos! A strongly hormone-driven person will not remain unaffected by watching pornography, but will be incited, just as a violent person will be incited by inflammatory and violent articles, a xenophobe by content that despises foreigners, a Nazi will seek and find Nazi content, etc.
This naturally raises the much-discussed issue of internet freedom. The facts are clear and cannot be denied if one is aware of spiritual Laws: All content on the internet strongly influences and reinforces the characteristics of people who seek it out, and its effect is approximately proportional to the number of pages viewed and the inner agreement with the content, both for good and for bad!
In nearly all recent acts of terrorism and rampages, it has been possible to trace the perpetrators' extensive and long-standing Internet activity – a clear indication of the effectiveness of such content. If access to these sites were completely blocked, a decrease in such acts of madness would be virtually guaranteed! We will therefore be faced with the question in the future of whether the almost complete freedom of the internet is worth the high price and the high number of victims, or whether we would prefer effective restrictions on this content, which would also involve far-reaching censorship options. Ultimately, it is a choice between a pestilence and cholera.
